After 10 years, two kids, and what we can only assume was a very long internal debate, Gavin proposed. We know. We're as shocked as you are. To celebrate this historic moment - and frankly, Michaela's patience - we're gathering our favourite people from across the world in Italy.

Masseria Quadrelli is a beautifully restored 18th-century farmhouse nestled in the heart of Salento, Puglia -surrounded by ancient olive trees, Mediterranean gardens, and a stunning outdoor pool. Rustic in character, effortlessly elegant in feel, it's exactly the kind of place that makes you never want to leave.
A select number of rooms and suites are available on-site for guests - more on alternative accommodation below.

Poggiardo is a tiny, sun-soaked village in the heart of Salento - the very tip of Italy's heel. Ancient olive groves, whitewashed streets, crystal-clear Adriatic water, and absolutely no reason to rush anywhere. Otranto is 20 minutes down the road, the clifftop town of Castro even closer, and Lecce - the so-called "Florence of the South" - is an easy hour's drive.
You're already flying to Italy. Make a holiday of it - you won't regret it.

The closest airport to us is Brindisi (BDS) — about an hour's drive away. Bari (BRI) is also an option, roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.
For our UK guests, the most direct route is flying from London Stansted to Brindisi with Ryanair.
For our Bulgarian guests, there are direct flights to both Bari and Brindisi from Sofia with Ryanair and Wizz Air. Flying from Bucharest? Henri Coanda also has direct routes to both airports via Wizz Air.
Once you land, hiring a car is by far the best way to get around - public transport in this part of Italy is limited. We'll also be arranging private transfers for those who'd prefer not to drive, so watch this space for more details closer to the time.
We would love nothing more than for everyone to stay at the villa with us - but between Michaela's guests and Gavin's famously extensive family, we've rather run out of rooms. If you find yourself without a bed at the masseria, don't worry - there are some brilliant villas and hotels nearby, most with pools, and frankly you might end up with the better deal.

We know Italy is a big ask. We could have picked Milan. We did not pick Milan. We picked a farmhouse in the middle of an olive grove, an hour from the nearest airport, and we regret nothing. Gavin might...
